Celebrate 250 Years of America Through Service

In 2026, the Marine Corps Marathon marks a historic milestone — the 250th anniversary of the United States. This iconic race is located in Washington, DC and has a scenic route! It’s more than just 26.2 miles; it’s a celebration of service, sacrifice, and community. Last year’s Marine Corps Marathon sold out, making entry highly competitive.

Through True North Foundation’s official charity sponsorship, you’ll receive a guaranteed race entry while running for a cause that directly supports veterans and their families.

Charity Bibs Registration

What are Charity Bibs?

A charity bib is a race entry given to a runner who commits to raising funds for a nonprofit organization in exchange for guaranteed entry into a race.

Instead of qualifying by time or lottery, the runner agrees to:

  • Fundraise a set minimum amount - $500

  • Represent and promote the charity

  • Run the race in support of the charity’s mission

Charity bibs allow runners to participate in popular or sold-out races while making a meaningful impact for a cause they care about.

Charity Bib Registration

What is the process to get a charity bib, and what can I expect as part of Team TNF?

To get started, you’ll first register with Team True North Foundation (Team TNF) using our registration link and purchase your guaranteed charity bib.

Once registered, we’ll email you a Runner Intake Form, where you’ll select how you’d like your fundraising dollars to be allocated. After we receive your completed form, we’ll confirm your spot on the team and send instructions to set up your personal fundraising page through Donorbox—so keep an eye out for an email from Donorbox.

After creating your Donorbox account and fundraising page, you’ll officially be off to the races with a $500 fundraising goal (or more!). We ask that at least 50% of your goal is raised by July 31st, with the remaining balance due within the week following the event.

You won’t be doing this alone. Our Director of Strategic Partnerships will share a Google Drive resource folder filled with fundraising templates, messaging, and creative ideas to help you succeed.

From there, it’s all about training, fundraising, and showing up alongside the True North Foundation Team to create real impact for the veteran community.
