A Fall Full of Purpose: Upcoming Events Across the True North Community

As summer winds down, the True North Foundation and our nonprofit partners are gearing up for a busy fall filled with opportunities to connect, compete, celebrate, and—most importantly—support veterans, service members, and their families.
The season kicks off on September 12 in Tampa Bay, where Stay in Step will host its annual Gala. Stay in Step provides rehabilitation and support to veterans and civilians living with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions, and the Gala brings together the community that makes that work possible.
September is also a busy month for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF). Events include the Steel City Awards Dinner in Pittsburgh on September 17, the Los Angeles Golf Tournament on September 21, and the Sergeants Davis & Dougherty USMC Memorial Shoot in North Carolina on September 26. The events continue in October with the Jersey Shore Golf Tournament on October 8 and the two-day Carolina Classic Golf Tournament on October 17–18. Each gathering helps MCSF continue its longstanding mission of providing educational opportunities to the children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen.
Meanwhile, Dog Tag Inc. will bring together fellows, alumni, and members of the community for its Speed Networking Night in Washington, D.C., on September 23. Dog Tag's commitment to helping veterans, military spouses, and caregivers find renewed purpose and community after military service closely reflects True North's own mission.
October brings one of the biggest events on the True North calendar: the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., on October 25. Members of Team True North will take on the iconic 26.2-mile course while raising funds and awareness for veteran causes.
On November 5, we'll return to New York City for True North's annual Whiskey for Warriors event, bringing friends and supporters together for an evening dedicated to the veteran community. Two days later, the Stay in Step's Ability Games return to Tampa Bay on November 7, celebrating adaptive athletes and the power of competition.
MCSF closes out our fall calendar with two Arizona events: the Cowboy Cookout in Scottsdale on November 19 and the Wickenburg Ranch Golf Tournament on November 20.
From galas and golf tournaments to networking, adaptive sports, and 26.2 miles through our nation's capital, every event looks a little different. But they all share something important: bringing people together in support of those who have served.
